Reflections on water, a piece of cut fruit…anything can be a potential source of inspiration. The refraction  of light on a surface can change the way one sees the form. I like to cut relief into my pieces the play of light and shadow give it another dimension. There exists a game of contrasts; a lively interplay between smooth, rough, thoughtful gesture and spontaneity . Being of Nordic descent my color palette is naturally cool greens and blues, having lived in the light of the south of france it now contains warm golden ocher hues as well.
